What happens when filmmakers go beyond film? In an in-depth conversation that engages questions beyond the ‘’the sky is falling”, the discussion program Filmmakers in a Post-Film Landscape explores the implications of storytelling in new ways. Filmmakers Michael Monello and Craig Singer have expanded their oeuvre into the world of interactive, multiplatform, omnichannel, and transmedia productions. Moderated by StoryCode co-founder Aina Abiodun, the conversation explores the ways in which digital technology is changing storytelling and the medium of film itself.

Craig Singer, a director and producer of TV, film, and theater, is now an innovator in the development of multiplatform entertainment properties. His latest project is Ollie Mongo, the story of a 16-year-old skateboarding zombie in post-apocalyptic Asbury Park, NJ. Ollie Mongo is being developed with Klasky Csupo, the creators of Rugrats. Ollie Mongo is being developed as a graphic novel, social experience, videogame, TV series, and consumer products.

Michael Monello is the Chief Creative Officer and co-founder of Campfire NYC, a marketing agency that focuses on storytelling to shape perceptions and brand preferences. He is intimately involved in every project at Campfire, and was a co-creator of The Blair Witch Project, a movie that changed the way marketers approach the Internet.

Moderator Aina Abiodun is a filmmaker, innovator, and co-founder of StoryCode, a community hub, lab, and creative consultancy for emerging and established cross-platform and immersive storytellers.
